Our astaxanthin is sourced from a single-celled green algae, Haematococcus Pluvialis (H. Pluvialis). The chemical structure and high active ingredient content of our astaxanthin makes it a superior source for achieving enhanced antioxidant support. One softgel delivers 4mg natural astaxanthin derived from 42mg astaxanthin complex oil, providing a 10% concentrated supplement.

Unlike most astaxanthin grown in outdoor ponds, our astaxanthin is cultivated in a climate-controlled, closed system, resulting in exceptionally pure microalgae. This natural source is sustainable and does not negatively affect ecosystems or contain contaminants from the sea. Using a green technology growing process and supercritical CO2 extraction, natural sunlight is used and no harsh chemicals are needed. The production of our astaxanthin therefore has minimal environmental impact, avoids excess heat and ensures a solvent-free pure final product.

Pure Essentials AstaPure Astaxanthin Complex is a natural extract from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis (H. Pluvialis) – the same algae responsible for the pink-red pigmentation of wild salmon and crustaceans. AstaPure contains the highest available concentration of Astaxanthin, and a complex of other beneficial carotenoids including lutein, canthaxanthin, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene, as well as amino acids and fatty acids, which together offer a broad range of health benefits, enhance its bioavailability and increase cell membrane stability.

Astaxanthin’s ability to reduce oxidative stress is incredibly strong due to its unique chemical structure, providing additional protection from cellular damage. Most importantly, astaxanthin has an unlimited ability to protect against oxidative damage, without becoming a pro-oxidant during this process like many other antioxidants do. Astaxanthin is also able to span the entire cell membrane providing enhanced antioxidant protection.
