product description

Igennus Vitamin C Chewable contains only hypoallergenic ingredients, with no unnecessary additives. With natural orange and lemon flavours and natural colours, this tooth-friendly formula is sugar-free and contains no artificial sweeteners or preservatives.

Optimised absorption
Combining two forms of vitamin C (sodium ascorbate and ascorbic acid) allows the body to utilise two different uptake pathways. Sodium ascorbate favours uptake via active transport, while ascorbic acid favours uptake via passive diffusion. This dual approach enhances absorption across the intestinal lining into the bloodstream, increasing the amount of vitamin C available to the body.

Clean ingredients
This clean label supplement is free from unnecessary additives and artificial flavours, colours and sweeteners. We use natural orange and lemon flavours, and natural colours from turmeric, paprika and carrot, giving the chewable a subtle colour. It is also sugar-free, containing only tooth-friendly sweeteners as xylitol, sorbitol and stevia. Each batch is tested for purity.

Gentle on the stomach
Vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid is buffered with sodium ascorbate, a less acidic alternative to pure ascorbic acid. This buffering process neutralises the acidity of standard ascorbic acid, making it gentler on the stomach and reducing the risk of gut irritation. Unlike pure ascorbic acid, which can cause discomfort in sensitive individuals, sodium ascorbate is better tolerated, especially for kids, and adults with acid reflux or digestive issues.

Immune support
Vitamin C supports immune health by stimulating the production of white blood cells. As a powerful antioxidant, it also protects cells from damage caused by oxidative stress. By supporting collagen production, vitamin C plays a key role in maintaining healthy mucous membranes, which act as a barrier for the immune system.

Skin & collagen
Vitamin C plays a key role in skin health by supporting collagen production, which provides structure, strength and elasticity to the skin. Collagen also helps the body form new connective tissue and supports the normal function of blood vessels. Additionally, vitamin C provides antioxidant support to the skin.

Energy levels
Vitamin C supports energy levels by increasing the body's ability to absorb iron, a key nutrient needed for oxygen transport. It also plays a role in converting food into energy by supporting metabolic processes. Regular intake may help reduce feelings of tiredness and fatigue.
